Lauryn is a friend of a friend's daughter whose pure enthusiasm and beauty is captured in this painting of a child happily weaving baskets overseas.

I enjoyed making this image in collaboration with KCP...and it marked the tone for the rest of the book.

fragile at the same time.

Text speaks of children and war and the implications.The image says it all.Tough research went into this spread.

Sentimental Portrait

I was honoured to be asked to paint a this sentimental portrait of a woman and her dog. The brick works being their favourite place to frequent. Fall was their cherished time of year as captured in this sitting. Many photos were taken and the composition made in a slight naive manner.
